Kanslös once started as our band (more about that you'll find under the - temporarily absent- button 'Band Kanslös Cuntland' dâh!). When I finally deceided to realize my bar, I asked the Cunts (read: band members) for permission to use the name of the band. Thus Rockkroeg Kanslös came to exist, which will open by the end of this year. The most brutal rock bar The Hague has ever known! (Although that isn't that hard).

What you might not know, is the meaning of the word 'Kanslös': Kanslös is a word that's been fucked with. Originally you would write it as 'kansloos';. But in Cuntland (where my band and I come from) we like to copy our favourite bands, in this case Motörhead. It's exactly what you've been irritated about all your life: why do they write O when they mean E ? Motörhead fixed that up nicely. Then again, kansloos is already pronounced correctly when you write it like that. Actually, now that we've fucked with the word, no one seems to be able to pronounce it right.

Which brings me to the meaning of the word: without a chance what so ever. Ahhh, I hear you realising why this text doesn't really have a clue and why the explanation is so crappy. If you're still laughing, the bar will be the perfect place for you. If you don't get the joke, you could try and get drunk in the bar and maybe then you'll get it. if this get's on your nerves, better never come to my bar. It'll drive you mad!

In January 2009 Kanslös Gigs n' Crap went live, the department that arranges the gigs. Because I didn't have a building yet, the Gigs were given in other bars, like Musicon and Bazart. As soon as the bar opens, Gigs n' Crap will mainly keep to organizing Gigs in it's own bar.

The Gigs are for well known bands, but also for less known bands and even starting little bands who have never been on stage before. Parties, birthdays or other shite can be arranged as well, but not untill the opening, since now we are awfully buisy fixing up the contracts for the bar and then we still have to make it presentabe (read: turn it into a crappy black hole), so everyone will feel right at home.
